Ashley & Cameron at Ashdown Park Hotel
Ashley and Cameron’s wedding was a truly classic British celebration set in the heart of Kent, surrounded by history, tradition and timeless elegance. The day began in the most charming cottage nestled within the woodland grounds, where Ashley got ready alongside her parents, close friends and two wonderful dogs who added warmth and joy to the morning. The atmosphere was calm, intimate and deeply personal. This Scottish–English wedding embraced tradition in the most beautiful way. Guests in traditional Scottish attire brought a distinctive character and sense of heritage to the day, creating a celebration rich in cultural detail. From there, everyone gathered at Ashdown Park Hotel, a 19th-century neo-Gothic mansion set within 186 acres of landscaped parkland with roots reaching back over 200 years. The ceremony took place outdoors, with breathtaking views of the grand castle-like hotel as the backdrop. Led by a traditional British Toastmaster in his iconic red coat, the day flowed with elegance, structure and charm. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed confetti, conversations and relaxed portraits before moving on to the wedding breakfast. The reception space was simply stunning. Set within a beautifully restored former chapel space with stained glass windows by famed artists, soaring ceilings and a historic organ, the room created a sense of grandeur and romance. Heartfelt speeches, the cutting of the cake and lively dancing followed, with a live band filling the evening with energy and celebration. Ashley and Cameron, thank you for trusting me to be your wedding photographer. Your day holds a very special place in my heart, and I am truly grateful to have been part of such a meaningful and beautifully traditional celebration.
